Ch’íyáqtel Lands Registration Process

Here’s what you need to know.

Once a registration is filed in our office it is sent to the First Nations Lands Registry System (FNLRS), which is maintained by Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development Canada in Ottawa, Ontario.

All registrations must include:

The appropriate copy (or copies depending on the registration you’re applying for) of the Ch’íyáqtel (Tzeachten) First Nation (FN) Registration Forms
Property Transfer Tax
Property Transfer Tax (this form is to be completed and attached with registration documents)
Completed forms signed by the agent, law/notary office - unsigned applications will be returned to the sender as we cannot act as the agent on the file.
One physical original copy of the application

Please note: The Lands Office will not return copies by mail. You will receive confirmation of registration via email from the First Nations Lands Registry System (FNLRS).

Here’s How To File Your Registration

Step 1:
Download applicable (TZFN) Forms
Step 2:
Fill out and sign the (TZFN) forms
Step 3:
Send / mail the physical forms and documents to the admin office below to register:
45855 Promontory Road, Chilliwack, B.C. V2R 0H3
Step 2:
Fill out and sign the (TZFN) forms + property transfer tax forms *if applicable
Step 3:
Put all required documents into one package including: payment, TZFN form + mortgage documents / assignment, property transfer tax documents, etc.
Step 4:
Email all forms to [email protected] and send / mail the physical completed forms and documents to the admin office below to register:

Step 5:
Once registered, you’ll receive a notification email to the email address that was listed on your (TZFN) application form.
